SELLING SOME RARE FUNKO POPS!
Hey, any Funko addicts out there? If you didn’t already know, I collect Funko POPs (specifically Marvel ones), and have been doing so for about 5 years. I’ve invested a hell of a lot of time and money into building my huge collection, but I feel like it’s time for be to part ways with a few of them, particularly the ones that’ll get me the most money!
So if there is any avid Funko fans out there, you’ll know how rare my Red Skull POP is especially. Get your currency converting devices ready if you live anywhere but the UK.
I’ll be selling Red Skull for around £320, and Winter Soldier for £75. Both have their boxes, and both are in tip-top condition – I collect these madly, so I always ensure to keep them in the best conditions possible.
If you don’t collect these to this ridiculous extent then these prices are gonna seem crazy, but I urge you to look online at other sellers of these rare, discontinued items, because in comparison my prices are bargains (somehow). In terms of delivery, I’m willing to ship worldwide, which will be about £15 extra (unless you’re lucky enough to be in the UK like me, then it’ll be about £2.50!)
Anyone interested? Awesome! Message me privately on here and we can discuss PayPal and what not. If you’d rather contact me via E-mail however:

DOCTOR STRANGE DIRECTOR POSTS CRYPTIC PICTURE AND QUOTE!
“Not my will, but thine be done” is a quote from the Bible, essentially meaning “I don’t really wanna do this, but if I must, and this has to happen, then so be it” (my interpretation at least).
That quote, along with a picture of Doctor Strange praying, and the mention of something happening in September… what could it mean? Seeing as though no other Marvel associate has mentioned anything regarding September, it looks as though the announcement will soley be Doctor Strange related, which leads me to believe that it could possibly be a sequel announcement… but what’s so important about waiting ‘til September?
This could also be nothing. Perhaps he’s simply taking a break from social media until September (considering the recent James Gunn stuff) seeing as though he said “see you in Sept”. He doesn’t want to abandon social media, but maybe he feels like he has to. So it’s either that, or something to do with Doctor Strange’s future in the MCU. What do you think?
AN OPEN LETTER FROM THE CAST OF GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
Because for some reason I still have to stress the fact that myself, or statements like these, are not defending James’ past tweets, here I am, stressing to you that I myself and statements like these are NOT defending James’ tweets.
The cast of Guardians of the Galaxy have a lot to say about their friend. I’m suprised personally that they’re able to voice their opinions like this with Disney inevitably watching over them like hawks. GotG Vol.3 will still be happening regardless for sure. Whether or not James will return is unknown, but I’m pretty doubtful.
The cast love the franchise as much as the fans, so they won’t jeopardise the MCU out of spite by ripping their contracts to shreds. Even if they’re legally unable to leave and break their contracts, that’s not the reason why they’re not getting up and going – they’re staying aboard, with or without James, for you, the fans… so even if you still hate James, and if you disagree with the cast’s views, apprechiate the fact that they’ll still be putting in their all for the sake of Vol.3 and beyond.
People may have noticed that I deleted the initial reaction that I posted the same day James had been fired. Although I was upset and suprised, I tried to remain neutral because both sides have valid points. The reason I deleted it is because, even though I valued each and every one of your comments (whether you agreed with me or not), I felt that my reaction was too ‘premature’, seeing as though more and more outlets have started to discuss this predicament from all angles – it’s opened my eyes a little bit more. Instead of writing a whole new reaction however, I’ll direct you to the link above; written by one of my favourite online movie news outlets, Collider. Not everyone will agree with all of their views, and I don’t mind people commenting as to why they disagree – just ensure that you’ve read the entire article before jumping into this comment section. This is one hell of a tricky situation…
MY REACTION TO JAMES GUNN BEING FIRED FROM DISNEY/MARVEL AFTER CRUDE JOKES SURFACE FROM 2008:
Before I get started, I’m not defending or condoning James’ foul jokes in any way, shape or form – he’s a bit of an idiot for making those jokes in the first place, and he knows it and accepts that. In a way, I accept that Disney had to cut their association with him, but that doesn’t mean I’m happy about it.
So for a bit of context, in 2008, 10 YEARS ago and SIX YEARS before he’d written/directed his first movie for Marvel/Disney, James had tweeted some pretty dark jokes. They’re certainly profanic and require a particular sense of humour to find funny (they’re more like the kind of jokes you scoff at because they’re so stupid and rude). In the grand scheme of things, and with today’s day an age (terrible memes and whatnot), there have been far worse jokes been told on social media, but because James Gunn is under Disney’s wing, they wouldn’t want to represent him in any way once these old tweets were brought to the mass public’s attention, so I get that to some extent.
What I have difficulty wrapping my head around however, is how easily they cut the chord. James Gunn is one of the MCU’s most valuable assets! Guardians of the Galaxy is arguably most people’s favourite Disney/Marvel property. The amount of creativity, unique flare, and the sheer admiration for Groot for goodness sake – the MCU wouldn’t be the same without James’ hard work. He’s made powerful, beautiful, sentimental and all-round entertaining films about love and family that you can feel has poured raw from his heart and soul – he’s not the person he once was when he told those jokes (long before he was associated with Disney), and he’s recently stressed that himself.
I know it’s not right for me to compare, or bring this up, because I have so much damn respect for the legend, but Robert Downey Jr went to jail, he was a drug addict… and now he’s one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and the figurehead of the whole MCU! Does his past mistakes and wrong doings define his present day values? Hell no! Why should James be any different? (Especially when no actual crimes have been committed – just poor tasting ‘humor’ from a decade ago). You see how I said, “it’s not right for me to compare”? That’s because I didn’t want to use Robert’s bad past as an example, because I know that’s not who RDJ is now – that just proves my point further regarding how James’ past foolery shouldn’t affect him to such a dramatic extent. There should definitely be consequences for those tweets, and he’s done more than his fair share of apologies, explanations and reflections, but completely firing him from directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3? I’m sorry, I think that’s ridiculous personally.
I know that he’s currently very vocal about politics, and his language isn’t exactly PG-13 like the Marvel movies he makes, but his twitter doesn’t represent Disney, Marvel or the movies he’s made for them – he’s allowed to say what he wants (I’m referring to his political views at the moment by the way, not the poor jokes). Freedom of Speech and whatnot. I don’t know for definite, but I assume Disney have sat back and winced at the majority of tweets he posts, hoping that they don’t backfire onto them, so I imagine those old jokes surfacing was Disney’s last straw, and they could no longer associate themselves with him. It’s a sad shame for sure.
I imagine Disney have very strict and demanding values to uphold, so their actors, writers, directors and producers have difficulty adhering to the standards Mickey Mouse has. I feel like their overwatch has gone too far on this occasion however. Disney is just one company though – after becoming a household name through the Guardians of the Galaxy films, Gunn won’t have any trouble finding new movies to write and direct – in fact, I imagine there’ll be dozens of producers dying to get him on board for loads of movies after no longer being busy with Marvel, because he’s a damn good movie maker.
His talent and innovation should be the things that define him, not a bunch of stupid tweets. And on the 0.001% chance of James reading this himself, you should be proud of the man you are, the movies you’ve made (and will continue to make), and the hearts you’ve touched doing so. You had plans to pave the cosmic side of the MCU, and I’m so annoyed I won’t be able to see those ideas come to fruition, I’m sure you are too. I know you’ve finished the script for Vol.3 to some extent – I hope you have the chance to assist and work closely with a replacement director (outside of Disney’s walls of course) to ensure that your vision and standards are met, because truthfully, I’m worried that Guardians won’t be the same without you. I hope to see your writing credit during Vol.3’s credit roll.
The most important thing for me to stress though: this is completley Disney’s loss. James has clearly made some mistakes back in 2008, but Disney have made an even bigger mistake letting go of Gunn. I also know that this decision wouldn’t have been made by Marvel/Kevin Feige… this is 100% Disney’s doing. As much as I like Disney and all that they’ve brought to my soul for 23 years now, I’ll have difficulty not holding this decision against them, especially when I sit down and watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, knowing that James couldn’t complete his run of Guardians films that he so clearly had an unparallelled passion for.
Much love to Mr. Gunn, and all the best for his future, his friends, family and awesome house pets ❤
IRON FIST SEASON 2, COMING TO NETFLIX ON SEPTEMBER 7TH!
I have high hopes for season 2. I know season 1 isn’t many people’s favourite series, but given the right attention and direction, Danny Rand can easily become people’s favourite Defender. Epic fights and a kick-ass costume is all I need. Let season 2 be Iron Fist’s redemption!
MARVEL STUDIOS’ 10-YEAR CHRONICLES!
Recently announced at SDCC, this hefty set is perfect for us super fans! I pride myself with knowing these films inside and out, but with 100’s of exclusive interviews from the stars, directors, writers and producers, it’s imperative that I own this!
As well as interviews, the books will offer never-before-seen artwork, and details on how the masterminds at Marvel Studios constructed this huge cinematic universe brick by brick. Excited? Well I suppose this is a bad time to tell you, you won’t be able to own this until Spring 2019 (“NOOO!”)
With good reason however, seeing as though the chronicles will feature Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, and Avengers 4 also. If Avengers 4 isn’t coming out until late April/early May, I suppose that’s when you can expect them to go on sale – shortly after the film’s release.
Legend Steve Ditko, best known for Co-Creating Doctor Strange and Spider-Man, passed away at age 90
Without Steve, we wouldn’t be rife with the spectacular comics we have today. With films like Doctor Strange and Spider-Man Homecoming in the MCU, both Directors (Scott Derrickson and John Watts) have individually paid their respects, reflecting on the legend, essentially saying that their films were love letters to Steve’s incredible artwork and panels. Movies aside, his artwork was unique, unparallelled and with the psychedelic surrealism of Doctor Strange’s comics in particular, he was ahead of the curve for sure, pioneering comics for years.
People like Steve have changed and influenced lives like my own. I live and breathe comics (and the movies he influenced), so to hear of his passing is certainly saddening, but the best we can do is pay our respects and remember the abundance of creations he had a hand at bringing to life. We can all make sure his talents are remembered. He created the unforgettable; so let’s keep it that way ❤
